Rental Agreement

Acknowledgement and Summary of T&C’s

The Renter (you/your thereafter) accepts these terms and conditions completely when you book online or pay your deposit at the best kept secret Showroom, Carrigaline, Co. Cork. If you are under the age of 18, you agree that you have reviewed and accepted these terms with your parent or legal guardian. Based on this we will assume that you have accepted this and we are then able to provide our services to you.

The Renter’s responsibilities (You)

Full payment of the piece must be paid in accordance with these terms prior to collection or postage.

You will not make any alterations to the piece while in your possession.

You must treat the piece/s rented as you would your own.

You will not attempt to fit into a dress that is too small for you, you will not try and zip up a dress that is too tight and therefore damage the zip.  All zips are inspected prior to collection/postage of the item. In the event the piece’s zip is damaged by you then you will forfeit your prepaid damage deposit.

Within 5 hours of receiving the piece/s, advise best kept secret of any defects.

Jewellery such as bangles should not be used if it is likely to cause any damage to the fabric of the piece. This applies also to handbags. Smooth handbags are acceptable.

Fake tan should not be applied within 48 hours of wearing the piece.

Steaming of the piece is acceptable but do not attempt to iron, alter or clean the piece in any way.

You are aware that the piece rented may not be brand new and may show general fair wear and tear.

Should the rented piece be returned with damage then you will forfeit your prepaid damage deposit.

Booking Terms and conditions

  1. Booking payment

Payment in full of the ‘Rental fee’ is required at the time of your booking. Once this payment is received by best kept secret, your booking will be secured.

 

Payment in full will secure the piece for your nominated Rental Period. This deposit is subject to best kept secret’s cancellation policy.

  1. Refundable Damage Deposit 

A damage deposit of 30 EURO will be required and payable at the time of making your booking. The damage deposit will be kept by best kept secret if any damage occurs while the piece is in your possession. The piece will be inspected after it is returned and if validated to have been returned in the same condition that you received it in, this deposit will be refunded to you.

  1. Payment Terms

The ‘Rental fee’ for the piece/s will be the fee for the rental period, the damage deposit, delivery fees and any additional charges listed on the website in relation to the rental of products. When you order a piece, you authorise best kept secret to charge your payment method for your payment in full.

ID in the form of photo ID (Drivers Licence), credit card or other forms of identification will be required upon each booking. Failure to provide this information will forfeit the booking and any incorrect information will be deemed as breach of Rental agreement.

  1. Cancellations / Credit voucher

The Rental Fees paid at the time of booking is strictly not refundable.

To cancel or amend a booking, an email must be sent to customer.bestkeptsecret@gmail.com with the customers full name, rental period and  detail of pieces rented.

Best kept secret will issue a rental credit voucher in the following circumstances:

  1. Items cancelled within 72 hours of commencement of the rental start date, will not be entitled to a credit note and will be charged in full.
  2. Orders cancelled/amended with +72 hours notice before commencement of  rental start date will receive a credit note.

Credit notes are valid for 12 months and will expire after this time. Credit notes can not be used for sale items and must be used for rental pieces only.

Credit notes may be used once only.

Credit notes may be used via our online ordering system or instore, but may not be used in conjunction with any other offers/discounts.

  1. Cleaning & Repairs

Best kept secret incorporates the cleaning costs into the rental fee. Under no circumstance should a customer attempt to clean or repair a piece.

 If a piece is damaged while in your care, please contact best kept secret via our customer care email at customer.bestkeptsecret@gmail.com to inform us as soon as possible with details.

  1. Rental Period and late fees

The rental period commences on the start date of the agreed rental period, once all monies have been paid to best kept secret.

Extra days rental are available subject to the availability of the item, and must be arranged at the time of making the booking.

If returning the piece by post, the piece must be lodged for delivery on the last day of the agreed rental period.  A postal receipt with the date must be provided to Best kept secret via email to customer.bestkeptsecret@gmail.com.

Should the piece not be returned to best kept secret by the rental period end date then a late fee will apply.

  1. Items returned 24 hours late will be subject to a 20 EURO late fee.

  2. Every additional day the item is not returned will receive an additional 40 EURO late fee.

  3. Items not returned within 5 days will be treated as theft unless appropriate communication between best kept secret and the renter results in an agreed extension.
  1. Sizing Issues

Once the piece has been received/posted, the client will not receive a refund for cancellations in the event the piece does not fit correctly. It is highly that you visit the Showroom in Carrigaline, Co. Cork for a Try-On.

  1. Alterations

Depending on the piece, temporary hemming or alterations may be completed by Best kept secret’s nominated dress-maker at a fee payable by you. Alterations will be made by best kept secret prior to your collection or postage of the piece. Alterations will be agreed by best kept secret and the renter at the time of making the booking.

  1. Postage

Postage can be arranged on request at the time of your booking. All costs associated with postage will be covered by you.

  1. Warranties and disclaimers

Best kept secret reserves the right to suspend or terminate, without notice, your access to our services under these Terms or any content at any time without notice and we will not be responsible for any loss, cost, damage or liability that may arise as a result.
