Appointment Booking
Yes. You can book a try-on in person at our showroom here or book a virtual consultation here.
In-person try-on: Come to the best kept secret showroom in Carrigaline, Co. Cork, to browse & try on pieces. The Showroom is open for try-ons Saturdays from 10am - 3pm.
An appointment slot is required but short notice requests are welcome if availability permits.

Virtual consultation: Alternatively, if you don’t live close by or you cannot make it to the showroom, you can book a virtual appointment. Select the “virtual consultation” on the appointments page. A virtual consultation is ideal if you have pre-preferred items in your wardrobe you would like to match an outfit with, or you are between sizes and want to learn more from a member of the team about the fit and style of the designers we stock.
There is a charge of €10 to book an appointment. This is redeemable against the cost of booking a piece.
We ask that you let us know if you can no longer make your appointment 72 hours prior to your slot to allow us to offer it to other customers. You can cancel your appointment at our website www.bestkeptsecret.ie or by connecting with us via whatsapp on 087 235 0218. If you make an appointment cancellation within 72 hours of your slot, please note the appointment fee is non-refundable. We are excited to host you and show you our collection.

Via appointment, our team will process your transaction to ensure your selected piece/s is reserved for you.

The rental fee and damage deposit is due when you place your order and includes the cost of dry-cleaning.
The cost per rental piece is set at the discretion of best kept secret and is subject to change at any time. The price you will be charged for a piece will be reflective of the cost associated with your time frame period for a rental on the day your booking is made with us.

Best kept secret offers a 4 or 8 day rental period.
A 24 hour mid-week option is available for pieces rented between Monday and Thursday only. For all bookings on a Thursday at our special 24 hour price, please note return time no later than 10.00am the following morning (Friday). Returns are processed via our contactless parcel return box at the address. Further details will be provided via confirmation message when you place your booking.
If you need an item for a longer period, send us an email to customer.bestkeptsecret@gmail.com to confirm availability and cost of the piece. Unless the rental date is accepted and approved by best kept secret, pieces must be returned on the original end date of your rental period.
Pieces not returned on time will be subject to late fees.
Your pieces will be available for collection at the best kept secret showroom, on the first day or your rental period.
Express Courier delivery is available nationwide, on request. Prices may vary depending on the location and weight.

How to return
Pieces will need to be returned to the showroom on the last day of your rental.
Return your pieces in person to our contactless ‘best kept secret returns’ parcel box, located at the showroom on the final day of your rental date. Place your piece in its original dust bag, into the parcel box by 8pm.
Items returned by courier post must be made on the final date of your agreed rental period.
Unfortunately, the dust bags will have to be returned with your pieces on the agreed return date.
No, simply return your piece in its dust bag and we will take care of the rest.
In fact, we request you do not clean pieces as doing so may result in further damage. Our specialised cleaners will take care of any stains - please just notify us if you notice any stains. This helps our care experts in prolonging the life of a piece.
If items are not returned on their agreed return date, it may impact other customers' bookings and/or their special event. Therefore we ask all our customers to honour their commitment to return pieces as per the rental agreement.
- Piece/s returned 24 hours late will be subject to a 20 euro late fee.
- Every additional day the piece is not returned will receive an additional 40 euro late fee.
- Items not returned within 5 days will be treated as theft unless appropriate communication between best kept secret and the client results in an agreed extension.
Damage
A damage deposit of€30 will be required and payable at the time of making your booking. The damage deposit will be retained by best kept secret if any damage occurs while the piece is in your possession. The piece will be inspected after it is returned and if validated to have been returned in the same condition that you received it in, this will count as an “accepted return” and your deposit will be refunded to you in full.

The prepaid damage deposit of€30 will cover up to a maximum of €100 in damages. Any damage beyond this amount will require a further payment to cover damage charges, up to and no further than €300. The charge details will be shared with the customer in writing with payment required within 3 business days. Please note general small stains and make-up marks are most commonly and not usually an issue. The damage deposit refunds of €30 will be returned to the customer within 7 business days of a piece being returned.
Changes to booking
If you wish to cancel your order, please contact the team as soon as possible. The following options are available:
Orders cancelled/amended more than 72 hours notice before commencement of the rental start date will receive a credit note. This will be valid from 12 months of receipt.
Items cancelled within 72 hours of commencement of the rental start date, will not be entitled to a credit note and will be charged in full.
You may exchange your rental garment for a different piece, up to 72 hours before your nominated hire period, subject to availability.
